Step 1:

Put the deflection chute in the upright position. hold the catcher in position next to the opening on the mower (This will show you how the catcher attaches and make the following instructions clearer). Put the catcher aside. Make a small mark just below the seam weld on the mower deck (this weld is about 2 inches long just in front of the opening on the mower where the clippings come out. put the mark about 3/8 inch under the seam towards the front of of the 2 inch piece. This will make the top of the hole come just below the seam.

Step 2: Use the center punch at the mark you have just made.

Step 4: Drill a 5/8 hole in the deck at the center punch mark. (be sure you are drilling low enough that the hole will go just under the upper deck).

Step 5: Attach the catcher by sliding the front pin on the catcher into the hole and lowering the catcher so that the hook on the side of the catcher goes over the lip.

Step 6: (optional) Sometimes the Honda deck will have a small weld bead that will keep the catcher from sitting flush with the deck. If this is a problem you will need to grind this weld flush with the deck.

Clean bag out at the end of each work day (especially if you have been mowing wet grass). The bag will clean easily with a hose or an air compressor. Be sure to wear eye protection especially if you are cleaning the bag with an air gun or hose. Do not put your hands inside the catcher- there are some surfaces that can cause abrasions or cuts. Never use excessive pressure or force when cleaning the bag as this may damage the bag and/or injure you.
• Never throw the catcher when full of grass. It is very heavy when full, and the impact may cause damage to the frame.
• Be sure to secure the catcher to your truck or it may fly out while driving.
